Let me extend my personal welcome
to the BLET Conrail SAA/CSXT Northern District General Committee
of Adjustment website.
It is my hope that this site
will be a touchstone of communication for the membership
of this General Committee. As union men and women moving
trains for two railroads, it is vital that you have avenues
of communication with your union officers at every level.
Although attendance at monthly union meetings is essential,
all information exchanged with your union is of mutual benefit
and concern, and the goal of this site is to give you easy
access to that dialogue. Clearly, we all stand to gain by
better communication and information.
I hope that you will accept
this website, and take this giant step with your General
Committee into the World Wide Web. By your communications
with us, you truly participate in the union process. You
can help mold this website around the expressed needs of
the membership. Please remember: We really can accomplish
many goals together which not one of us can possibly do
